The BCS Cleft Lip and Palate State Program (Programa Estatal de Labio y Paladar Hendido de BCS) is a first-of-its-kind government-backed initiative in Baja California Sur. Established in 2022 in partnership with the BCS Ministry of Health, Smile Train, and the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation, it provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and ongoing care to children and adolescents with cleft lip and/or palate across the state.
The program brings together specialists in surgery, pediatrics, speech therapy, psychology, orthodontics, dentistry, ENT, audiology, and nutrition under a single coordinated care model.
